Getting There

Where are you located?

The Avon Heights church of Christ meets in a strip mall located behind the Kroger off of Rockville Road. The address is 188 N. State Road 267, Avon, Indiana, 46123. We meet in Suites 105-107. Google Maps will get you to the right area. Use the picture on our Directions page to make sure you can find our suites.

Where do I park?

You may park either in front of or behind the strip mall.  First time guests are invited to park near the entrance located in the front of the strip mall.

Where do I go when I enter?

If you enter through the doors at the front of the strip mall, you will be in a foyer area. If you continue straight ahead you will enter the Main Auditorium from the side.  If you go to your left, you will find yourself in the Adult Classroom and if you go to the right, you will find the Junior High classroom and beyond that the High School classroom.

If you enter through the doors at the back of the strip mall, you will be entering directly into the Main Auditorium from the opposite side.

Worship Services

When are worship services?

We meet on Sundays for Bible classes at 9:30 a.m. and the worship service starts at 10:30 p.m. On Sunday evenings, we meet at 5:00 p.m., except for the last Sunday of every month, when we meet at 3:00 p.m. for a special song service devoted to praising our God in song.  On Wednesdays, we meet at 7:00pm for Bible classes followed by a short message.

What can I expect during worship service?

You can expect to find real, ordinary people who love God and are trying to worship Him the way He wants to be worshiped. You will find the truth being taught from the Bible.  You can expect to participate or observe without being singled out or embarrassed.  Check out the What To Expect page for a more detailed description of what we do during our worship services.  We are always truly excited when we have visitors and will want to meet you after the service if possible!

Is there a dress code?

You will see a lot of variety in what people wear. You will find some people wearing jeans and a t-shirt; some wearing dress pants and a blouse; and occasionally some people wearing a suit and tie. Whether you are dressed up or dressed casually, you won’t be out of place.

Beyond the First Visit

How do I learn more?

Feel free to ask any of our members about anything you see. We are very open to questions about what we do. No question is a bad question and we welcome the chance to talk to you about Jesus and what the Bible teaches. So don’t be shy about asking!

How do I join a Bible study?

In addition to the regular Bible studies we have on Sundays and Wednesdays, various members have Bible studies on a weekly basis in their homes. All you have to do is ask, and we will help you get involved in a home Bible study close to where you live.  We would be glad to set up a one-on-one study if you would prefer that. Finally we also offer an online study that you can do on your own time. You can find it here.

Who do I contact if I have questions?

We would love to hear from you. You can reach us through the form on our Contact page or you are welcome to email or call any of our  Elders or Preacher directly.
